Cedar is an end-to-end video production company based out of Birmingham, AL. We create ideas, write scripts, make films, and deliver on time.
Our work revolves around a singular idea:

Hear us on this: You do not need to know what film you want made before you contact us. Our favorite situation is: “Hey! We have ____ problem and want to make a film about it. What can Cedar do?”
We start with a question and come up with a concept/idea/strategy that best answers it, whatever that might look like.

What to Expect
I. Discover
We start with a Discovery Call to gather information towards your central question. We learn everything we can about yourself, your company, and your reason for contacting us.
Next, we have a Pitch Call. Before launching into pre-production, we verify everyone’s onboard with the direction. This is our time to set expectations and create vision.
These initial calls create space for our team to deeply understand your needs and accurately set the vision for the project.
Together, we settle on a direction and hit ‘go!’
II. Develop
Having agreed on a direction, our team begins Script-Writing. This serves as our blueprint for the entire project.
Ever heard the film term Pre-Production? Once we lock the script, this is it!
Having established an idea, we launch into the details of bringing an idea into reality. We set shoot dates, finalize ideas, gather crew, rent gear, cast actors, and more.
A film production is a tightly wound machine relying on dozens of functional parts. The Develop phase gives us our team the time to piece that machine together as efficiently as possible.
III. Do
Roll camera, roll sound… We’re into Film Production.
As a full-service production company, the same team that dreamed up your project is the same team that will bring that dream into reality. Our directors and support team will be involved every step of the way, crafting each shot with intention.
After production, the project will enter ‘post-production,’ where we will take things across the finish line: the final edit.
IV. Deliver
You receive a finished film like it’s Christmas morning. We don’t send partially completed files or ‘in-progress’ rough cuts. What you’ll get is a polished, complete product!
